A glitch in one of FIFA 23's Hero Packs been quite expensive after an exchangeable FIFA Ultimate Team Hero item was placed on an online transfer market for a heavily reduced rate. It was a mess as players attempted to sell their possessions since their value plunged, trying to recover some losses because the market was saturated.

FUT Hero Items are very rare which makes them valuable. They each represent an athlete who has made a a significant contribution to their club or has become the most popular player for a reason or other. The Hero item can go for thousands of FUT coins individually on the virtual transfer market or is available by buying packs, in which case there is a small chance of receiving one.

Thus, when EA had erroneously released a bundle which contained a tradeable Hero item for the low-low price of 250 FUT coins The market was hit by an influx of cheap Heroes, causing it to fall, which wiped out any value that was supposed to be attached to the more expensive items. Players holding onto rare Heroes started selling them when they saw their prices fall which put gasoline on the fire. It's understandable given that rarer Hero items can fetch hundreds of dollars when sold on third-party platforms.

The mistake has been corrected The pack is now available for a short period of time, but the damage has been done. EA is yet to make a statement regarding the issue, and although the market is beginning to recover buy FUT 23 coins, the losses appear to be irreversible, and it remains to be determined what the publisher will do to rectify the situation.
