1. What is water-saving irrigation?
Simply put, water-saving irrigation technology is the main mode of agricultural irrigation developed in response to the current serious agricultural water waste situation. In addition to replenishing soil water to meet the needs of plant growth, it can also dissolve fertilizers and pesticides in water and combine them with modern fertilizer application devices such as fertilizer pumps to apply fertilizers and pesticides. It can also avoid soil salinization, and for soils that are already saline, irrigation can be used to flush soluble salts from the soil to improve it. In addition scientific irrigation methods can also play a role in preventing frost and preventing dry and hot wind damage to fruit trees and vegetables, as well as preventing soil wind erosion. There are also many soil moisture sensors for irrigation systems that play a big role.
2. Benefits brought by water-saving irrigation technology.
Water-saving irrigation can effectively maintain a good state of each phase of water, fertilizer, gas and heat in the soil, which has many advantages such as water saving, labor saving, energy saving, fertilizer saving and yield increasing, etc. It is gradually being recognized and used by everyone, but due to the lack of funds and awareness, there is still a lot of work to be done by industry colleagues.
3. What are the ways of water-saving irrigation.
(1) Drip irrigation
Drip irrigation is a low-pressure pipeline system with a special irrigator to deliver water and nutrients required for crop growth directly to the soil surface or soil layer near the roots of the crop in a small flow rate, evenly and accurately, in accordance with the water requirements of the crop. At the same time, drip irrigation can be combined with fertilizer application, using the fertilizer applicator to apply soluble fertilizer into the root zone of the crop with water, timely replenishing the water and nutrients required by the crop, with good yield increasing effect.
(2) Sprinkler irrigation
Sprinkler irrigation is a method of irrigation in which water under pressure is sprayed into the air through a pipe equipped with a nozzle to form water droplets and sprinkled into the field. This irrigation method not only saves about 40% of water than traditional ground irrigation, but also has the advantages of soil conservation, water conservation, fertilizer conservation, labor saving and improving field microclimate.
(3) Micro-jet
Micro-sprinkler is a way to irrigate by spraying water onto the soil surface at a low flow rate through a low-pressure pipeline system. Micro-sprinkler irrigation system is divided into two types: fixed and mobile, which is a water-saving irrigation technology between sprinkler and drip irrigation, which requires less water pressure than sprinkler irrigation, high atomization, uniform spraying and less water. The sprinkler head is not as easy to block as drip irrigation, but the water output is less.
