Adventure and Soft Play

Soft Play
Soft Play is the creation of an indoor environment in which you can play safely, normally featuring a padded floor and wall padding. Add various features such as steps, tunnels and dens and you have a fun yet safe play space. The importance of play is critical in our younger years as we learn social skills as well as developing our mobility, fitness and motor skills such as climbing, jumping, crawling and rolling. We become aware of our own body and that of its surroundings. Sensory wall panels
It is a great form of play for encouraging imagination and creativity, allowing us to build things and develop role play skills with others. The safe play environment can also help those who may be shy in the classroom environment develop and increase their self-confidence.
Soft play doesn’t have to be restrained to one room. Mobile agility kits, building kits and individual items are available that can easily be moved from room to room.
Adventure Play
This is designed around a fixed metal frame structure, often of multiple levels offering a form of play that is more demanding than soft play. It is also often referred to as a whacky warehouse or jungle gym. These are great for improving and developing our motor skills, decision making, teamwork and cooperation, spatial awareness, sensory stimulation, exploration and discovery and our imagination. Features may include log climbs, slides, crawl tubes, hanging bish bags, horizontal and vertical rollers as well as being able to climb and descend to different levels. The overall project can be themed for you such as farmyard, space or just nice bright colours. Padded wall panels
We have completed projects for SEN schools where they required a facility that would allow certain pupils to expel their pent-up energy in a physically demanding but safe environment. Theming can also be incorporated into your design or you may simply want bright colours throughout.
